FAQ

What type of training do you offer?

We offer mixed functional training with an emphasis on quality over quantity, safety, proper technique and consistency. Depending on the class we utilize a variety of training methodologies including strength training, bodybuilding, aerobic/anaerobic conditioning, corrective exercise, weightlifting, and bodyweight exercise. You will also see a variety of class structures. This is based on a few different factors but mainly the programming for each class and its difficulty.

What should I expect in my first class?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class to meet your coach, get settled, and be ready to train!

Expect each class to have a heavy emphasis on moving with proper form + technique. You might move slower than you expect to start to build an understanding of movement in your body. There might be more technical cueing, an emphasis on developing your breathing to facilitate a deeper connection to the exercise and definitely some fun.

LATE POLICY: If you are running more than 10 minutes behind you will not be permitted into class and you will lose the class credit.

What if I am pregnant, have an injury, or am working to rehab?

Please reach out to Jake directly (908) 894-8788 to discuss your specific needs. Group classes are not recommended, unless approved by your doctor.

What should I bring to the gym?

Water, towel (if you’d like), and a good attitude! Please wear shoes to the gym.

How often should I come to the gym to see results?

Like anything, the more consistent and dedicated you are the more benefits you will see. We encourage you to come at least 3-4x per week to start learning the fundamentals. If you workout elsewhere, this will also help to reinforce proper form + technique so you can stay injury free and active!

This place seems intimidating, am I in good enough shape to join?

We hear this a lot.

Working out can absolutely be intimidating especially in a new space. We are passionate about creating a welcoming + committed community. Whether you're a total beginner or a workout lover we invite you to join the fun. We encourage you to come in and start your journey wherever you’re at!

All who are willing are welcome.

Can I bring my children or dog to class?

At this time, we ask you to please find an alternative option for child/animal care besides bringing them on property. We want every student to feel focused and able to concentrate on their workout.

If our current group class times don’t work for your schedule, please reach out about creating a small/private group with Jake or another coach that works with your schedule.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that if you need to cancel please do so 12 hours before the time of your class. If you cancel within the 12 hour window it will be marked as a “late cancel” and you will lose the class credit.

However, if you need to “late cancel” and we have a waitlist please let us know via text, call, or instagram message as we will offer you back your class credit as a thank you for letting another student take the spot.

*Our classes require a 2 person minimum.
